Dress code

⚠️Please avoid stilettos or very narrow heels⚠️ The reception is held on a heritage timber dock, and wider heels, wedges or elegant flats will be much more comfortable.

We're looking forward to celebrating with you in cocktail attire.

Ties are optional. Flowy dresses, jumpsuits, any colour of suit, blazers and polished separates will all feel right at home while we watch the sun set by the river.

As the celebrations continue into the evening, you may wish to bring a light jacket or wrap.

Above all, wear something that makes you feel confident and ready for a wonderful evening.

Getting There

Our wedding ceremony and reception will both be held at Riverlife, nestled beneath the Kangaroo Point Cliffs on the Brisbane River.

The ceremony will take place on Lawn 1, just south of the main Riverlife building, along the river walk.

Arrival Time

Please arrive at 3:00PM. This will allow time to park, enjoy the walk to the venue and be seated before the ceremony begins at 3:30pm.

Taxi and Rideshare

Suggested drop-off location:

Catch a taxi to towards the end of Thornton Street, walk down hill to the bike path, turn left and follow the Riverlife signs for a 2 minute walk.

Public Transport

If you're travelling by public transport:

CityCat: Holman Street ferry terminal is around a 15 to 20 minute easy and flat walk along the river.
Bus: Several services stop near Kangaroo Point and South Bank, with a short walk to the venue.

Parking

Please note that on-site parking at Riverlife is very limited. Nearby parking is available so please allow a little extra time, particularly if you're arriving close to the ceremony start.

River Terrace

Park at the top of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs next to ‘Joey’s Cafe’, walk down the cliff stairs, turn right and walk 250m to Riverlife.

Kangaroo Point Cliffs Drive

Park at the bottom of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs at the end of Lower River Terrace, walk along the river towards the Story Bridge for 300m to Riverlife

Via Ellis Street

Continue driving down towards the river and turn right under the Pacific Motorway (Captain Cook Bridge), park or drop off, in the free public car park at the base of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. Then walk, following the Riverlife signs along the river and cycle path, a distance of 800m.

Via Dock Street

Continue to drive under the Pacific Motorway (Captain Cook Bridge), park or drop off, in the free public car park at the base of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. Then walk, following the Riverlife signs along the river and cycle path, a distance of 800m.

Hamilton Street (Off Bright Street)

Take a short 300m walk along the river and cycle path towards the Kangaroo Point Cliffs.

FAQs

Can dietary requirements be accommodated?
Yes. If you've already advised us of a dietary requirement, the venue has been notified and will cater accordingly. If your requirements have changed, please let us know as soon as possible.

Do you have a gift registry?
Yes, although a gift is not required and we could not be happier to have you attend the event itself! If you would like to contribute to our honeymoon fund as a gift please see the 'Honeymoon Fund' tab.

Where can I leave a card?
A wishing well will be available at the reception for cards.

Is the ceremony outdoors?
Yes. The ceremony will be held outdoors in the parklands overlooking the Brisbane River. The reception will be held undercover by the river.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Yes, although we ask that you remain seated and avoid blocking the aisle or the photographer. We would love for everyone to be present in the moment.

What happens if it rains?

The venue has wet weather arrangements in place, so the celebrations will go ahead regardless of the weather.
